Leona Amarga Expedition is located just at the border of the national park, Torres del Paine, and its main entrance "Amarga". To get there from Puerto Natales, take route 9 towards Cerro Castillo village, and then turn left at the roundabout, a semi-paved road towards Torres del Paine. Approximately 30 km from Cerro Castillo, turn left at route Y-150. Continue 12 km, then turn left again, following route Y-156 toward the "Laguna Amarga" park entrance. From the turn, it is only 5 km to get to the Amarga Lagoon viewpoint, which will be our meeting point, unless otherwise agreed. You will see a little lookout spot on your left side. From here, there is an incredible view of the famous three towers.
The road conditions are not always the best, so we recommend driving safety, keep an eye on potholes, and crossing animals like the puma, guanacos, armadillos, and skunks. The road conditions also determine the speed, so this is an estimated time between the places:
